Our Scholarship Philosophy

At IMS Law College, we are committed to making quality legal education accessible. Our diverse scholarship portfolio—totalling up to ₹7 Crore in aid annually—recognizes academic merit, supports economic need, and rewards exceptional talent in various fields.

Scholarship Categories

Merit-Based Scholarship

Awarded for outstanding academic performance.

  • AIJET / Entrance Test Performance: Scholarships up to ₹30,000 in the first year, based on your rank/score.
  • 12th Board Merit: Scholarships based on your aggregate percentage in the 10+2 examinations.

Need-Based & Special Category Scholarships

Financial support of ₹10,000 per year for eligible students.

  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
  • Students from Defense/Paramilitary Forces families
  • Single-Parent families
  • Siblings of current IMS students
  • Students with disabilities
  • Government Employees (Hospital/Ward)

Talent & Achievement Scholarships

Recognition for excellence beyond academics.

  • Sports Scholarship: For state/national level athletes.
  • NCC Scholarship: For active National Cadet Corps cadets.

Note : Students are typically eligible for only one scholarship from the above categories at a time. All scholarships are subject to terms, conditions, and renewal criteria. 

How to Apply for a Scholarship

Step 1: Check Eligibility & Prepare Documents
  • Review the criteria for your desired scholarship category.
  • Prepare necessary documents (e.g., mark sheets, income/EWS certificate, category certificate, achievement proofs).
Step 2: Submit Your Application
  • For Entrance/Merit-Based: No separate application is usually needed; candidates are auto-considered based on their admission application scores.
  • For Need-Based/Special Category: A separate scholarship application form must be submitted along with the admission form and supporting documents.
Step 3: Approval & Disbursement
  • The scholarship committee reviews applications.
  • Approved scholarships are directly adjusted against your tuition fee, reducing the payable amount.

Scholarship Terms & Renewal

To continue receiving your scholarship in subsequent years, students must:

  • Maintain a minimum 75% attendance.
  • Secure a minimum of 75% marks in the annual examinations.
  • Adhere to the college’s code of conduct.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I apply for multiple scholarships?

Typically, no. A student can be the beneficiary of only one institutional scholarship at a time. The scholarship offering the highest benefit will be applied.

You must submit a valid Income Certificate or EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Certificate issued by the competent authority (Tehsildar/SDM).

Most scholarships are applied as a discount against the tuition fee only. Hostel, mess, and other ancillary charges are typically not covered.

Yes. Scholarships reduce your tuition fee liability. You can apply for an education loan from our partner banks for the remaining balance of fees and other educational expenses.
