Program Specific

How does B.A. LL.B. differ from B.Com. LL.B.?

Both are integrated law programs, but the focus of the first degree changes your foundation.

  • B.A. LL.B. blends law with humanities subjects like Political Science, Sociology, and History — ideal if you’re interested in constitutional law, civil services, or legal research.

  • B.Com. LL.B. combines law with commerce subjects like Accounting, Business Management, and Economics — perfect if you’re leaning toward corporate law, taxation, or business consulting.

So, think of it this way: B.A. LL.B. builds analytical depth for policy and social issues, while B.Com. LL.B. gives you the commercial edge for corporate and financial sectors.

You don’t have to spend five years doing separate degrees — this integrated program saves time and gives you a head start. By the time you graduate, you’ll have both a bachelor’s and a law degree, opening doors to careers like litigation, corporate law, legal journalism, judiciary, and even government services. It also trains you early in critical thinking, legal writing, and argumentation — skills that put you ahead in internships and placements.

No — humanities subjects are mainly taught during the initial years to help you understand society, politics, and governance, which are the backbone of legal systems. As you move ahead, the focus shifts almost entirely to core law subjects like Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Corporate Law.
