Advocate

Judge / HJS

The first step towards becoming a judge is to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. Then comes qualifying judicial services competitive examination. After practice as an advocate for 7 years or becomes eligible to appear for higher judicial services examination.

Professor

Teaching is a noble profession. Post LL.B / B.A.LL.B any person interested in teaching law in universities/law colleges can opt for higher studies and become a Law professor.

PSUs

Each year some PSU companies enlist CLAT test-takers into different entry-level positions like Law Officers, Legal Advisors, Legal Executives, Executive Trainees, etc. Most candidates are hired based on their qualifications and experience as per the company’s requirements.

Judge Advocate General

The Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Department is the legal branch of the Indian Army. It deals with military related disciplinary cases and litigation and assists in providing legal assistance to the army in human rights matters and the rule of law among other things.

IBPS Law Officer

You can become a law officer in a public sector bank by qualifying in the IBPS specialist officer’s exam. The post is of Scale I rank. As part of the job, you will be responsible for providing legal advice to the bank as well as handle its legal issues.

IAS / PCS

Law is one of the optional subjects in the UPSC offers its candidates in the IAS/PC mains exam. It is sometimes seen as an unpopular optional but this is far from true. Many candidates take up this optional and it also has a very high success rate.

Public Prosecutor

A Public Prosecutor is considered as the agent of the state to represent the interest of common people in the criminal justice system. Only a law graduate can be appointed as PP/APP after qualifying the competitive exam conducted by UPSC/PCS in CBI, ED, NIA etc.

Admission Process & Fee Structure

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

To be eligible for admission in the B.Com LL.B., the candidate should:

  • Have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or an equivalent Examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate for General Category & 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST Category.

  • Candidates appearing/appeared for the Annual Examination in March/April are also eligible to apply.

  • No Age Limit (C.C.S. University and Bar Council of India norms).
